ChatGPT can now see, hear, and speak

OpenAI announced new voice and image capabilities for ChatGPT. Users can now speak with the AI assistant verbally and ask it questions about images. The updates leverage text-to-speech, speech recognition and computer vision models. Launch partners include Spotify for translating podcasts while retaining hosts' voices. OpenAI acknowledges risks like impersonation but aims to enable creative applications. The features start rolling out to paying ChatGPT users over the next two weeks.

Decoding AI: Your Questions Answered

What are Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)?

Convolutional Neural Networks, or CNNs, are computer algorithms inspired by how our brains process images. They break down pictures into small pieces and learn patterns like shapes and colors. With lots of examples, they can recognize objects, faces, and more. CNNs are used in smartphones for image recognition and in self-driving cars to spot obstacles.
