White Hat Hackers Discover Microsoft Leak of 38TB of Internal Data Via Azure Storage

A vulnerability exposed 38TB of private Microsoft data due to an employee sharing an AI dataset link containing a misconfigured Azure access token.

White hat hackers discovered the token allowed full access to internal storage. Microsoft quickly patched the leak once reported.

The incident originated from use of Shared Access Signature tokens, which don't expire and pose risks if improperly shared. While no customer data was exposed, it highlights AI data sharing risks and need for access controls.

Decoding AI: Your Questions Answered

What is a Perceptron?

A perceptron is the simplest form of a neural network, typically used for binary classification. It consists of a single layer with weighted inputs, a bias (a constant to adjust the output), and an activation function. The perceptron algorithm adjusts the weights based on errors in predictions, guiding the model towards better accuracy over iterations.
